Mmmmm… food…as I channel my inner Homer Simpson. There is just something about slow cooked Mexican style mince poured over corn chips, pounds of melted cheese, lashings of guacamole, sour cream and freshly made salsa. Or sticky, oozy triple chocolate fudge brownies … sprinkled with a bit of powdered sugar and enjoyed with a piping hot, freshly-ground coffee.
Yes, there is just something about food, glorious food! I haven’t always had a healthy relationship with food…with society’s pressures, it is hard to. This week the Atkin’s Diet is in, next week the Blood Type Diet, then the Starvation Diet, then Paleo… Banting… low carb, low fat; high fat, no carb; high carb, no fat, and so on and so on.
Anyway, I am no Cinderella but what I have decided is that now-and-then I will indulge in “wicked” food. But more importantly I will enjoy my food. All of it – including healthy food. Sparkle Belly Corner isn’t just the place where you pick up “wicked” treats but some healthy recipes too. I trust you will discern.
